Meet the Team
Our practice combines trauma-informed mental health therapy with our personal experiences as kinksters. Our insight can support you along your journey: whether you are exploring kink for the first time, entering into a new dynamic, or seeking a safe space to process conflict.
Matthew and Sunny share an ethical 24/7 dynamic. Matthew acts as the Dominant and Sunny as the submissive. Sunny is a switch and also has a 24/7 dynamic with her own submissive.
Our personal experiences intersect with gender, sexuality, neurodivergence, and polyamory.
We are comfortable supporting queer, trans, and gender non conforming folks. We are educated in issues of systemic oppression and racism.

Sunny Underwood (she/her) a licensed marriage and family therapist and a certified trauma professional. I am licensed in the state of TN and in WA State. I am queer person who is very passionate about providing therapy to queer, gender nonconforming, and transgender individuals.
I utilize a trauma focused, client centered approach to work with those with a history of trauma (PTSD/CPTSD), anxiety, depression, disordered eating, ADHD/Autism, and relationship difficulties such as family and/or intimate partner dynamics. I am able to provide therapy to those who have been harmed by toxic religion and have a desire to deconstruct/reconstruct their current or past practice(s). I'm also comfortable processing issues of system oppression and racism. I am informed in ethical kink and polyamory. I utilize a HAES (health at every size) lens in my approach and care deeply about the impact of systemic oppression on all marginalized bodies.
My desire is to create a space of acceptance, where you are able to put forward the most vulnerable parts of yourself in order to heal the wounds of the past and present. I do this by helping my clients utilize language to understand their symptoms, validate their experiences, and provide room for their most authentic self. My main objective is to create a safe space for you to come and connect with yourself so that you are more able to obtain healing and make meaningful connections with others.
The most important part of therapy is the relationship that exists between the client and their therapist. Healing happens when we feel deeply safe and accepted. You deserve that and I hope you find that here and any place and or relationship you reside in.
